Course Description

This intensive 5-day graduate course teaches participants how to apply large language models (LLMs) to linguistic research tasks. Through lectures, hands-on tutorials, and a capstone group project, students learn annotation and gold-standard construction, prompt design (zero-shot and few-shot), and evaluation (precision/recall/F1, confusion matrices), alongside methodological considerations including reproducibility, LLM limitations, and ethical issues.
